4* Solana Beach Mauritius

All-inclusive Mauritius, from £999pp

I have been to Mauritius many times and it is my Top 3 of places that I have visited.

Why it is The Solana Beach so amazing…

Solana is an fabulous resort on the east coast of Mauritius with airy, modern rooms that are right on the superb beach. You can sit in bed and gaze out over the tranquil ocean and, if you’d like to wake up in a four-poster bed, you can also upgrade to a more elegant Deluxe Room. Some of the rooms also open straight out onto the beach where you can spend lazy days relaxing and have fresh coconut water or fruit punch delivered to your sun lounger.

You can join a free snorkelling trip or book a relaxing massage at the Ylang Spa which may be just as relaxing as that Discreet VIP Massage Toronto; and there are lots of free watersports to try down at the boathouse. You can eat at the buffet restaurant with its live cooking stations or dine under the stars at Pomelo Restaurant. There’s also an adults-only restaurant called Secrets Corner in a quiet area of the hotel. It’s the place to go for a romantic evening overlooking the ocean.

It’s good to know that during your stay, you can enjoy two à la carte meals at Pomelo and one at Secrets Corner, which is great value for money. Once dinner is over, head to Indigo Bar for a cocktail, soak up the hippie-chic atmosphere and listen to a live band or DJ.

Spa* with free access to sauna and hammam, pool, fitness centre, aquagym, watersports including canoes, pedal boats, windsurfing, mini sails and snorkelling outings, beach volleyball, table tennis, 2 tennis courts, kids’ club with pool, bocci ball, boutique*, live entertainment, Wi-Fi

Restaurants & bars

The main, indoor restaurant Cinnamone serves all three meals at an international buffet with live cooking stations including a grill, tandoor and pizza oven, while the open-air Pomelo offers a refined à la carte lunch and dinner menu. Secrets Corner is an elegant adults-only evening spot, providing a romantic backdrop for traditional and modern cuisine alike with personalised service. There are also two bars to choose from: Indigo Bar for creative cocktails and wines overlooking the swimming pool, or Coco Bar to kick back with a beer or soft fruit juice underneath palm and coconut trees.
Spa & wellness

The serene Ylang Spa offers a variety of relaxing treatments in one of its five massage rooms, as well as free access to its sauna and steam bath.

For Children

A kids’ mini club is open daily from 9am-8pm, with trained staff on hand to look after younger guests (age 3-11). Solana Beach offers the option for children’s meals to be served earlier in the main restaurant and there’s also babysitting available, free to Kuoni guests.

Golf

Nearby you’ll find three golf courses (extra cost) – two 18-hole championship courses at Constance Belle Mare Plage, and the spectacular 18-hole Bernhard Langer-designed course on Ile au Cerfs, an island across the water from Le Touessrok that’s regularly voted among the best and most beautiful golf courses in the world.

Le Touessrok – Amazing 5*

Le Touessrok is one of my all time favourite hotel in the world.  It is very different, outsanding and stunning hotel.  I love the different areas, such as the hibiscus and the frangipani island.  It is such a private property, you never feel that there are other guests around.

I stayed there when my children were young. They are now teenagers and they still say how much they have enjoyed the hotel and her kids club.  The girls spent hours at the kids club only to be returned at our dining table at 9 pm every night.  They would happily spend more time at the club if they could.

The hotel spa is so beautifully run with amazing treatments. I would happily have a treatment everyday there.

I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, families, couples.

Unlimited french champagne

I thought that would grab you!

The Shandrani is on a private peninsula in Mauritius and is the absolute last word in sophisticated All inclusive resorts with its three private beaches, six fine dining restaurants and yes – from 6pm you can have a glass of champagne any time you like! Very unusual in Mauritius where the import taxes on french wines mean they’re tough to find.

It’s not just eating and drinking. There are, naturally, any number of activities included in the plan from sports (golf, cycling, tennis and any number of water sports), to the complimentary massage each guests receives.

The position of the Shandrani means that it never feels crowded. It feels as if it’s on its own little island and there are always parts of the beach or grounds where you can have some seclusion.

Mauritius itself is a beautiful lush island where you can hire a car and explore in safety; you’ll come across waterfalls, lakes and fabulous scenery. Or take a trip to the Pamplemousse botanical gardens and for the more adventurous go zip-wiring or quad-biking. It’s a paradise in the Indian Ocean where there’s a charming hotel to suit every budget and it’s out speciality; our holding company, Sunset Travel, started off arranging holidays to Mauritius and our ties are strong.

Ambre Hotel Mauritius

Features

The impressive 735m2 stretches all the way to the beach, and features several relaxation areas. Whilst on the beach, free water sports are available, including kayaks, laser dinghies, glass-bottomed-boat trips and more. For a small fee you can also enjoy activities such as canoeing, banana boats, water-skiing and Hawaiian longboarding.

Guests of Ambre Mauritius have preferential access to Touessrok Golf Course on the famous île aux Cerfs. If you are interested, you will be transferred from the hotel to the 18-hole par 72 international level course, designed by legendary champion Bernhard Langer.

If activities are not for you, the calming Ambre Spa may suit you more. Away from the bustle of the ongoing activities, the spa ensures a calm atmosphere, helping you to relax. Equipped with 4 jacuzzi’s and a sauna, this is the perfect place for some chill-out time. The spa offers facials, body wraps, massages and many more spa treatments. Hairdressing services are also available on request.

Beautiful 5* St Regis Mauritius

Considered one of the most stunning resort in Mauritius, in one of the most stunning location called Le Morne, in the south west corner of Mauritius lies the sexy, sleek, clean St Regis resort.   Everything is so beautifully thought, the hotel cries pure luxury and is the place to die for.  This is the place where you will be happy on honeymoon, happy on holiday and is very special.  You will never forget St Regis Mauritius.

The rooms have seaviews, they are spotlessly clean, elegant and are incredibly spacious starting at 73 sq mt for a Deluxe oceanview room.  Suites have full direct oceanview giving access to a private deck. The hotel is low rise, which I love as it gives me the feeling of space and elegance.

The staffs are very nice, very passionate about their jobs.  This hotel is highly recommended by many people and is one of my favourite hotels.

Also I would say that disparaging remarks or criticism were totally unfounded, we gave all the staff, food, cabins, entertainment, weather and the ports of call, 10 out of 10, its a great ship, managed by a fine Master and very dedicated crew. I just wanted to say a huge thank you for organising our trip to Verona last weekend. This was a very emotive trip for my wife & I, as it was our first trip to Italy since my wife's cancer diagnosis 2 years ago. Italy is without a doubt our favourite place on the planet and we were not sure if she would see it again. Thanks to you, she has regained, what I call her Italian smile, it came across her face the minute we touched down. Money cannot pay for that smile! The hotel at Gatwick was literally a 2 minute bus ride from the airport, front row seats on the flight over and chauffeur driven limo to meet us at the airport was an amazing start to the weekend. When you said we were staying in a 3 star hotel, I was, if I'm honest, a little nervous, generally speaking, 3 star hotels in Italy means you are sleeping in a cow shed. Not at the Hotel Milano, what an amazing hotel, slap bang in the centre of Verona, with views of the arena, excellent breakfast, towels changed twice daily, good size bedrooms and very comfortable beds! The air con worked superbly, which was just as well with temperatures in the 30's every day. Thank you for making this trip memorable for both of us.

Not only were your clients located in in three corners of the UK, but you had to deal with very late booking alterations, various medical requirements, special dietary requirements and not to mention 6 very experienced cruisers. All arrangements were completed by you with professional calm and flourish and, due to your personal intervention and attention to detail, everything was perfect from beginning to end. It is a great location, very comfortable & very attentive staff. Venice was a trifle hot but lovely all the same and now competing for our favourite Italian city. All went well with the ship, again thank you for picking it for us; a perfect choice. Staff were great, cabin very comfortable and what was so nice is that there was no forced seating. We could eat in a choice of restaurants and there was always a table for two if we wanted it. The food choices were outstanding. The itinerary was very interesting particularly Kotor in Montenegro. We easily got a train into Florence and were bold over by Barcelona. A big thank you from us both for organising this trip, and believe it or not, we both came back a few pounds lighter!

Not long back from our 3rd holiday of the year all booked by Jackie, Jackie is excellent at finding great hotels at fantastic prices. firstly we booked a holiday in Mexico at the Occidental Grand Excaret on the Riviera Maya. For the May bank holiday weekend we asked Jackie if she could find us something in the UK with a hot tub for a relaxing break, Jackie quickly replied with a few options and we ended up booking Conifer Lodges at Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway. The price through Jackie was cheaper than what we could of booked it ourselves. Lastly we have not been long back from Kardemeana in Kos, this one proved a bit more difficult to find as we'd been spoilt in Mexico, Jackie spent a lot of time finding us exactly what we asked for and yet again managed to find us a fantastic hotel at a brilliant price. I look forward to booking next years holiday's with Jackie as I know she'll exceed our expectations for what we want.

Our private transfer was perfect, no worrying about the childrens seats as they were in our bus. Thank you so much for arranging everything for me and my family, you were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble, you certainly made the whole holiday experience for the eleven of us a complete joy. I will certainly be using you again.

Hi Kristina, We had a fabulous time. The resort had everything you could want, everyone catered for, people really friendly. The restaurants had a good variety of food, beaches & sea. It was lovely. Thank you very much for finding us this gem.

Everything went according to plan thank you.The hotel in Sydney was in a great location, as was the accommodation in Port Douglas, Darwin and Singapore. The excursions you organised were excellent, we thank you very much for your help and patience whilst organising our holiday. I have a few ideas for some future adventures so will be in touch for your help.

Just back from our latest holiday at Le Preskil Beach Resort in Mauritius arranged by Dany. Once again every detail was spot on and we had a room upgrade to a "Prestige Cottage". When you travel - Go Dany!
