The joyful and critically-praised Sunny Afternoon appears in the West End at the Harold Pinter theatre. Featuring the music of The Kinks, music fans and theatre fans alike will enjoy the show’s youthful and exuberant energy that so brilliantly captures the spirit of the sixties.
Charting the rise to fame of one of Britain’s most influential bands, Sunny Afternoon explores how The Kinks became such an iconic band in this euphoric era. Featuring a plethora of the band’s hits including Lola, Dedicated Follower of Fashion, Waterloo Sunset, You Really Got Me and, of course, Sunny Afternoon, the West End has never sounded so good.
With music and lyrics by Ray Davies and a book by renowned writer Joe Penhall, Sunny Afternoon has been superbly well-received, its West End transfer much anticipated. An uplifting, nostalgic and energetic show, Sunny Afternoon is not to be missed.
