About me:

When I started my first job in a travel agency in 1979 people used to come to us with an armful of brochures so that we could help them navigate the endless options. Then came the internet which shook our business up a bit and now it's come full circle. There are too many options, too many websites and too much financial uncertainty so once again the travel agent can take those hours of tiresome searching away from you. Since we all get the same rates, by and large, it's all about mark-up - and my margins are kept low. I can save you money as well as time and stress.I'm going to listen to you and I'm going to understand what's important to you so that I'm equipped to source or build a holiday that’s not going to be someone else’s ideal; it’s going to be yours. I'll look after it right through - contacting hotels to ask for the best rooms, helping with the details that will make things go smoothly for you, being on hand while you're away in case there's a crisis of any kind. And all this won't cost you any more than booking on a website where you're just a number.

My travel experience:

I'm an experienced professional who has worked in hotels, as an overseas rep, for tour operators, and many travel agencies, including 8 years on an out of hours service troubleshooting for travellers overseas. I've lived in Canada, the USA, France and Morocco, I've travelled in 44 countries, am bilingual and have two degrees. If I have a specialist area it's between the Middle East and Australia/NZ. I’ve travelled more in Asia than anywhere else and India, Nepal and Sri Lanka are strong areas for me as are the countries of South East Asia but nowhere is out of bounds for me.  I have a solid background in first and business class travel along with a good deal of experience in arranging honeymoons and luxury holidays.I sold my first holiday in 1979 and I still find travelling an enjoyable thing to think about all day.

Why book with me?

I have a good repeat customer record. I believe that this is mainly because I’m very careful to get things right so that people have experiences they’ll carry as fond memories forever. My clients know that before I quote any holiday at all I’ll check online prices and if I see their holiday cheaper elsewhere I will tell them. I'll behave fairly with you.

Jane has been my travel adviser for over 30 years now! She has more knowledge than any one else I have ever dealt with to over this period. If I happen to choose somewhere she feels is not for me she is honest enough to tell me so and why, (this saves a lot of later disappointment).I am an exceptionally difficult client and incredibly hard to please but nothing is ever too much trouble for her. I would recommend Jane to anyone in a heartbeat.

Recently met Jane and the looked for her help in booking a holiday to Vilamendhoo in the Maldives. We usually use Kuoni but they couldn\\\'t help us. Jane certainly could and everything in our demanding wish list was booked without any apparent issue. We only have to go and enjoy ourselves now! Thanks Jane!
