Budapest Heroes SquareDespite the ancient and historic sites, Budapest is a modern top city and classified as the 37th most popular city in the world.

The city has advanced on such a large scale that is now houses the headquarters of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.

Budapest cuisine

Local cuisine of Budapest is typical Hungarian style.  It is rich and spicy with an exotic taste.  Spices and garlic are used in almost all dishes and sour cream is sometimes used to soften the taste.  Paprika is a favourite spice used in Budapest.

Goulash is another traditional dish.  This is a thick soup made from cubed meat.  Fish soup and other fresh-water fish dishes are regularly on the menus.  For the more discerning connoisseur, taste the goose liver dishes, fried or grilled.

Budapest is famous for its locally produced wines.  No trip would be complete without a taste of Palinka, or fruit brandy. Be warned, though made from fruit, it is a very powerful drink!

We\'ve never enjoyed booking holidays so a friend suggested that we contact Dany Konsein for some ideas. We felt Dany listened carefully to our requirements and after some discussion we decided on a 4 day visit to Budapest. Flights, transfers and accommodation were arranged and booking confirmation received promptly. The hotel was just as we\'d asked for, close to the city centre and with wonderful views over the River Danube. We were provided with useful information about the city and suggestions on places to visit. Budapest turned out to be a beautiful and interesting city and we really enjoyed our stay there. We were very pleased with the service Dany provided and will certainly ask her to advise on and arrange future holidays.
